Good company but problems with management

Pros

The office in downtown Denver is nice. Many community outreach and volunteer programs to participate in. Great view from 52nd floor break room. Relaxed environment and they try their best to boost employee morale with employee appreciation days and catered food, etc, on occasion. Lots of nice people and they are willing to train and give you chance to learn new things and build your resume

Cons

There is a sever problem with upper management and the decisions they make. This instability and chaos trickles down and creates an unstable work environment. I have been working for 20 years and never have seen attrition like I have at TA. It sucks because a lot of talented, nice people get fed up with the environment and leave.

Astounding ineptitude

Pros

I was given a nice computer

Cons

Managers are promoted based on friendships not talent and they like to use sales and marketing jargon to make themselves sound like they know what they are talking about. The technology on the backend is bubblegum and duct tape. It’s a backstab-y joke.

Pros

-Comprehensive, in depth training. Even if you don't stay in the position, you'll come out of the job knowing a lot more about your retirement account

Cons

-You may be asked to do 2 hours of mandatory overtime a day for a month straight -Your job is not about helping customers, it's about fishing out who has money in outside accounts so you can refer them to the "totally not a sales team" -Day to day grind is mentally tolling -A great job if you like feeling like a cog in a machine
