Pros

- Not too stressed. But when deadlines are approaching, people begin to panic. - As someone new to the corporate world, most people are nice and willing to answer any questions.

Cons

- 1 hour commute to office just to work on a computer when I could be doing that same thing wfh and then 1 hr commute back (waste of gas, money, time, and sleep) - Have to pay for your own parking (company owns their own garage and you'll still have to pay to park in it, or in other parking garages around downtown) and company does not provide free coffee - If you're unlucky, team/manager will micromanage. For example, forced to work over 8 hours most days for the convenience of others even when you've completed your tasks and at a good place to stop for the day - Ranked against others (it is quite obvious) for raise/bonuses which are not guaranteed and "performance based" - Have to be close and super friendly with your manager in order to obtain a positive performance review for the bonus/raise

Pros

Great PTO and benefits options

Cons

-Low pay ranges; not reflective of cost of living or comparable to similar companies. -Unrealistic expectations - Be prepared to be overloaded with work to make up for the people in your department that don’t do anything yet they continue to be employees. -CEO and all higher ups seem oblivious to all of the people who actually save the company money and our input. They just see us as dollar signs and how they can save more money to line their pockets. -COVID restrictions? Not here. Anyone without a vaccine is prohibited from going into the office currently (while no one else is there) yet suddenly on the RTO date it’s safe for vaccinated and unvaccinated to mingle? All employees had to upload vaccination status and were told it was private- okay fine. Well now those statuses are being passed to managers to play mask police to make sure that employees are wearing masks. Private? Not so much. -Raises? Not here. Don’t expect a raise anywhere NEAR the current rate of inflation - especially in Florida. Inflation rate? 7.5%. Your raise? Here’s a 1% raise even though you’ve busted your butt all year and have performed good. Enjoy your $1000 a year with the hope of getting a bonus through the year (spoiler alert- that bonus never happens no matter how hard you work) -Promotions? Not likely. Don’t expect a promotion or a raise unless you’re best friends with the boss, if you are then you can expect positions to be created for you with minimal effort on your part. -Analyst? More like monkey. They want you to think and analyze, yet give you over 100 guides you have to follow to do your job. Create a program to do it, it’s cheaper and less stress on all of us.

Pros

PTO, hybrid work schedule, Coworkers

Cons

Where should I start. This place is an absolute nightmare! The turn over rate is extremely high, the workload seems unethical and should be illegal! No raises or fair promotions for the amount of work given . So many claim reps went on stress leave or left the company in one year, Over 6 Unit Managers left as well! Leadership doesn’t value the employees and HR is a joke. All they care about is getting the claims processed. If you want to keep your mental health in tact PLEASE do NOT consider this company. Theirs is no morale, the higher up leaders are stressed as well and it is very visible that everyone in the Houston office is stressed out and miserable. Everyone complains of the same concerns and nothing has changed. I would not be surprised if this entire office was shut down. Micromanaging is the ABSOLUTE WORST! you’ll be treated like you’re incompetent with the amount of daily emails and meetings to constantly remind you of what you’re supposed to be doing on a repetitive job. Work life balance is non existent. This place is HELL on earth.
