Pros

Decent Pay Good benefits Once you gain some experience and get some authority they tend to leave you alone. Minimal micro management in my office Company car Permanent work from home position

Cons

Severely understaffed and the company cannot retain people to save their lives. Pay raises are a complete joke You're literally another number in the system Management is completely out of touch with how to do the job and come up with stupid "guidelines" on how things should be done despite the fact that those that are making these decisions haven't actually done the job. Dangling bonuses in peoples faces only for them to pull them out from under you For those that choose to stick around you have more and more work piled on you making it impossible to actually do your job. Unrealistic KPI's and expectations from customers who think they've just been handed a blank check book Dealing with contractors or salesman who will throw whatever they can at the wall to see what sticks so they can get a little extra commission.

Pros

- Great benefits, you get health/401k on your first day. - Clock-in, clock-out, do what you're told and you'll be fine. - Management from the main headquarters in Hartford seems to have noticed the morale issue/ethical violations, and after their inspections, opportunities for promotion/morale is beginning to improve. Talking to a local manager about morale problems/ethical violations is useless, so first try to talk to local HR. And if they are un responsive, call the anonymous ethics violation hotline.

Cons

- Terrible ethical violations in the CCS department management, and punishment for employees who speak out. - Rampant favoritism. Every company rewards people who network, but veteran employees are passed over for benefits and opportunities in favor of employees who chat with managers. An employee who had been with the company for less than two months, and had been out of training for two weeks, got employee of the month despite other employees having similar scores. - Employees are told to mention problems or concerns, and employees who do so are told to get over it or get a new job. - Nobody in local management seems to care about the lack of morale. An example of employee appreciation: employees were required to attend a pep rally on-site through their unpaid lunch break, and employees who expressed concern about not getting a lunch break were chastised. This was reported to the anonymous ethics hotline, and local management was upset that this had been reported. It's *finally* beginning to improve, but don't talk to local management--and I daresay, not even local hr--about issues. Call the anonymous hotline. - Honestly, if you work in Houston, you should find a job in a better part of town. Despite being outside of the Central loop, traffic is horrible in either direction, and the locale is depressing/seems unsafe at night. Thefts from cars in the employee parking lot.

Pros

The company has been around for many years.

Cons

The job you get according to the job description is not necessarily the job you are expected to perform. The company entices you to join with a job description, but when you get into the job the work is not what was listed in the job description.
