There are too many to list but to name a few:
- You are treated like you are 12 years old (everyone complains about this)
- You are talked down to for the smallest things i.e being a few minutes late to work, not working on your layover when flying for work, turning your pc off before midnight when you should be working...yes...that means Monday-Sunday...and they will tell you that you are paid enough so do what we say.
- Over 50% turnover rate...most toxic work environment one could imagine...literally 50% of the property team left a 100k+ job...you don't walk away from a job that pays that much unless it is extremely unbearable...and it really is. Me and almost of my entire hiring group quit in under a year. Everyday you hear of another person quitting. Everyday is the worst day of your life like office space...managers will smile for show but when you talk to them in person, they make fun of the associate managers more than anyone else. Everyone that has ever gotten anywhere in claims has kisses more tail than you can imagine and everyone makes fun of management because they know that's the only reason they got there.
- Managment speaks to you like you would imagine a parent speaking to a child (they hate their jobs and it trickles down to the way they treat you)...insanely hard to imagine that this occurs in a company like travelers...myself and other new hires have and will continue to write letters to management to let them know what goes on in the sick claims department in Connecticut. Some people cry everyday...completely sick work environment...when you don't finish your work for the day after working 18 hours...your manager will tell you that your lucky you had time to sleep...
- Every person that has moved up is the son/daughter of an exec or has connections. Small group of senior members and they are all friends and they are all from Texas.
- Theybnever pay for any school or development....they will just say it is not related to your job...so a masters in finance or risk management is not related to claims???? Hmmmm
- They will tell you that they care about your safety but will also tell you that you need to get the job of 3 done in one day. Adjusters are constantly on disability and leave...not because of anything other than managers pushing employees to work 18-20 hours a day. Literally, most employees quit in under a year.
- Managers are miserable...over worked...all old timers are gone and moved to other carriers...really horrible and toxic place...I quit a little over a year into it and I lasted the longest from my group...I am leaving soon as I accepted a position at another carrier but in all knonesty I would rather make nikes in a sweatshop than work for travelers claim department...
