Pros

Because of the HR domain itself, features usually don't demand cutting edge performance or able to handle maximum number of requests, which resulted in easier technical workload. Flexible WFH policy. Flexible Time Off. Smart Colleagues. Colleague Recognition Program with Marketplace to purchase gift cards, and many other things.

Cons

Processes, processes, and processes. Whether it's the mandatory 4 course training on network security alone, or the process to merge code into the release branch, or the processes to transition a story from development to ready to release, the company is obsessed with having many processes in place, which usually bogs down engineering velocity and work quality. There were also many rules that dictated how employees should behave outside of work, such as discouragement of working in for profit gigs outside of work, or having appropriate LinkedIn profiles, these I found too intrusive. Lack of Transparent Performance review. The upper management decides the grading, and there is a lack of transparency at the engineer level. Low pay. Some engineers are severely underpaid. Lack of cross functional team collaboration. Whether it's engineers in other teams or non engineers, collaboration is lacking and people are not grateful that engineers are there to help or are not patient when they are helping you.

INEQUALITY ALL AROUND!

Pros

Great benefits and PTO policy

Cons

--Initial training is just ok. 90 day training from Directors/Mentors is erratic. No ownership is shown, they overrule each other, skip items as they please and don’t follow company standards. Wish for a good one so you learn. Expect most level Directors and local Executives to lead by fear, negative, condescending and demoralizing meetings. Minority groups like LGBTQ+, Blacks and Latinos presence in Inside Sales Bradenton is very minimal. Most of them will also get undeveloped, 100% cold calling territories, even after paying dues and working hard. Close friends get developed territories with most inbound leads and marketing. Territories are unacceptably uneven.
