Pros

Base salary. Burton is a very convincing and sincere leader.

Cons

Company closed Chicago Gevity office...it should have stayed closed. Company ill-prepared to compete in market vs. BCBS of Illinois. Verticalization in a market like Chicago is sales career suicide. Office locations and work environment are a joke. If prospect doesn't fit ideal age demographic good luck with pricing...not even worth going back and presenting. Was promised carve-outs forever...never happened.

Pros

Great company with tons of opportunities for growth. Training provided throughout career. Tons of perks, in office events, and knowledge

Cons

High salary figures are based on bonuses, which at times can be hard to reach. Inside sales are tough to do in this industry.

Thank you for your feedback. You’ve identified something we hope all of our colleagues and potential colleagues understand: 1) a lot of training and knowledge is required in order to be successful; and 2) we do provide a wide variety of training throughout our organization! We are glad you are enjoying our in-office events and the opportunities for growth. We hope you take advantage of both.

Pros

Some people really like working for this company. It is a call center environment and you are expected to cold call businesses and set appointments for the field reps. If you have experience working in a call center sales, dialing out 100x per day then this place is for you.

Cons

They expect you to make at least 100 calls per day. Cold calls. Setting up appointments with the end game of selling insurance. Most if not all of the businesses that you will call want absolutely nothing to do with you. The leads they give you are dead and there are not enough leads to go around. Their sales force is set up terribly and they do not train you on it. You are paid hourly and your commission is based on the successful call that you set up with the field rep. If you are not able to keep up pace with the high performers they will let you go and find others who can.

We regret that you did not have a positive experience at TriNet. And we agree with you, cold calling is very challenging and certainly not for everyone. Nevertheless, those duties are clearly part of any inside sales position and are an important part of any successful sales strategy.
