Pros

Supportive work environment: my team supports me and my leadership treats me like a human instead of a cog. Diverse: in my office alone there are several ethnicities and religious backgrounds. Culture: the company has a culture of high quality and teamwork that spans between states. Peer support: everyone I work with is an engineer so I feel supported and we all understand each other. Feedback: when I make mistakes, it is handled maturely and management gives constructive feedback. Overtime: There are times that overtime is required, but it is not pushed on us. If I decide to work more, there is an overtime incentive program to make it worth it.

Cons

Consulting work: hours can vary as it is not a government job. Need to get used to billing clients. Media: mostly do air quality work, but at times do other media. PTO: paid time off back for new (<5 years) employees is on the lower end.
