Pros

Can be a great place to work if you have a passion for the mission. Great benefits and the people are awesome - especially if you like fishing. The volunteers are also excellent.

Cons

Little no mobility. Often times only chance to advance is by moving to a new location. Prefer to hire outside bs promote from within on a lot of occasions. Salaries are on the lower end and raises are almost non-existent. Life span of most roles is 2-4 years max.

Flexible work schedule, lots of autonomy, passion-driven work, three month sabbatical after ten years of service, good health insurance, moderate retirement contribution (7% match).

Cons

Horrible (or no) pay increases, no rewards for performance, no opportunities for promotion or advancement, no professional development, very little communication between field offices and national leadership.
