Pros

Meaningful work with passionate coworkers. Opportunities to work on many unique and interesting projects.

Cons

Well below industry standard salary and some programs have poor work/life balance. Being asked to work far more than 40 hours/week with no overtime or compensation.

Pros

Meaningful work if you like grassroots projects and conservation. Can be hard to keep going if you aren't passionate for the work. There is a social pressure to enjoy fishing but that is expected. More benefits than other NPOs but not perfect.

Cons

Concerned about the changes in leadership and staff. There is a growing sour mood towards leadership. It seems like changes are being made behind the scenes that middle management does not like. Employees can be gossipy including management. Best to not talk about your personal life much. It will be told to others.
