They give a little, but expect a lot.

Pros

Great for a green technician who is single, likes to travel, and needs experience in the field. Benefits are good. Vacation time is earned and available on a monthly basis.

Cons

You maybe expected to drop everything and travel across the USA on a moments notice. The pay rate is well below the norm for expecting this out of an employee. Lots of bureaucracy and an out dated and confusing documentation system.

Pros

It is easy to get hired at CPSI. This company seems to hire huge numbers from the immediate Mobile, AL area. As one of the only large employers who hire in the city, it is not surprising. If you are interested in gaining entry-level experience in Healthcare Technology, then this company will allow for such an opportunity. They don't require prior HIS experience to get on board.

Cons

The turnover at this company is unbelievable. Management seems happy to hire warm bodies to fulfill install obligations, and then makes minimal effort to keep quality employees. Who suffers? Many of the 600+ clients who have to rely on customer support from what is largely an inexperienced support staff. As far as pay, once you research other vendors in the Healthcare IT field, you will soon realize that CPSI pays far below the industry norm. If you get hired at CPSI, do yourself a favor... stay for a year or two, gain your base experience, then run as fast as you can to a more established vendor.

Pros

Huge potential for career growth- can gain a valuable work exp, flexible as long you keep working hard and smart. Health info sys is a very interesting subject and take pride to be part of the improvement process. CPSI not only make their client happy but always find ways to help them to improve to make their health care sys more healthier! CPSI keeps motivatied their employees by giving them awards and rewards for their work. Not only this but provides very attractive raise annually!! if you have a clinical background with licence- CPSI is a golden palace to incubate your work exp.

Cons

Due to expantion and mass hiring processs, we are now in the cubicals from the personal offices, but I found that we now has more profestional communication improvement.
