Pros

- ETO increases with years of service - Flexible/remote work - Coworkers that care

Cons

There has been so much change in CPSI over the last few years, and everyone had so much hope around what they were aiming for, particularly in the last 3-4. Unfortunately, poor management hires have made any progress towards a more people-first culture go up in flames. We are micro-managed to death. We can't get updates out the door because we are constantly being told to work on different things. There are no priorities and no roadmap for what our product will look like. Between layoffs and people leaving, there is a huge knowledge gap, but no one is being given the opportunity or the time to fill it. There are so many people who are really smart and care about the future who are being dismissed by managers with egos that are too big. It's just sad. We were all scared but really excited when new people came into the organization, and we kept hearing about the changes they were looking to make. But it seems like all of that continues to fail because there is no support for it from those in management, who openly talk about how wanting to do things differently isn't needed. I disagree. We disagree.

Pros

nothing good to say about the Company or management

Cons

Management is out of touch with its employee base. "People First" is organization as they like to say is a load of crap, they have fired hundreds of people without severance, while management asked for and was approved for salary increases after driving the stock price into the ground. Management is terrible. Zero confidence

Pros

The only good thing about this company is the long vacations you can get. Up to one month off.

Cons

Working at this company has been a mixed experience, and there are several areas where they fall short. First and foremost, there is a noticeable lack of transparency in management decisions. Employees are often left feeling undervalued and unsupported, as the company tends to shift blame onto individuals rather than taking responsibility for its own mistakes. Unfortunately, this creates an environment where trust and collaboration are hard to foster. The company's financial priorities are questionable. Despite claims of being unable to offer competitive raises, bonuses, or adequate 401K matching, significant funds are being funneled into acquisitions—like the recent $250 million purchase of a company that yields relatively modest returns of $10 million annually. This kind of misallocation of resources understandably leads to frustration among employees, who feel that their contributions aren’t fairly rewarded. Additionally, the hiring practices leave much to be desired. It’s not uncommon for new hires to lack basic technical skills, which is a serious issue, especially for a tech company. The recent decision to outsource the help desk department to a more expensive third-party provider has only worsened the situation, leading to inefficiencies and a general lack of understanding of the role’s core responsibilities. There is also a concerning inconsistency in policy enforcement, particularly with regard to employee drug testing, which seems to be sporadic at best. This lack of consistency creates an environment of unequal accountability, which could be problematic in the long run. The company’s leadership team primarily consists of individuals with outdated mindsets, which hinders innovation and adaptability. While experience is valuable, there seems to be little effort made to align with current industry trends or embrace new ideas, leading to a workplace culture that feels stuck in the past. In summary, while the company may have potential, its current trajectory is hampered by poor management, misaligned financial priorities, and a work culture that doesn’t foster growth or transparency. Prospective employees should carefully weigh these factors before committing.
