Pay is above average and benefits are solid

Pros

Pay and benefits are above average for the Madison market

Cons

Far too much red tape for a company of this size. Consistently not back filling positions when people leave. We will have our forth CIO in less than 8 years... Change of mid and upper management is seemingly constant so if you like significant changes and change in direction on a regular basis this might be the place for you. Also while they are good clearing out toxic people, eventually, they still have too many people hanging around for their "magic 85" pension date or have already reached it and are coasting until they are forced out or their job has been eliminated so they can get a package on top of the pension. As of January 2020 a pension is no longer offered for non-represented staff/management.

Thank you this feedback. It is disappointing to hear when an employee has a negative experience. It is true that our organization has gone through a period of significant change the past few years, and the challenges of 2020 are no exception. We will continue to remain diligent in our workforce safety while providing excellent customer service. The investments we have made in the IT area, along with our talent in this technology area, have allowed us to do just that in the remote setting and have been an incredible success for our organization. I remain committed to building the best employee experience possible and I want every employee to feel valued. I acknowledge that bureaucracy continues to be a challenge for us in some aspects and have been and continue to address it. For now, it is important to me that you feel you can succeed here. I encourage you to reach out to your manager with your concerns. Or, you may also reach out to HR4U or the Speak Freely line if that feels more comfortable for you. If those options are not satisfactory, please reach me directly. Please know that we are listening. --Linda Nedelcoff, EVP, Chief Human Resources & Strategy Officer
