Pros

There are a lot of really kind people there who genuinely believe in the mission not just of giving back to Credit Unions, but that an employer can make an impact on an employee's life, for the better

Cons

The truth is, where you are within the company will dictate a lot of your satisfaction. If you're working within the traditional insurance product lines, it's great given all the promotion opportunities and investment in the business. However, the other verticals are struggling with an ever-changing approach to shared services which is creating some confusion on what goals and priorities are. Also, here is where promotion opportunities and advancement to officer level are much more limited and the process more opaque.

Do you hear those sounds?

Pros

The people who are keeping things running; it has always been been the people we work with but now, everyone is so afraid of what is around the next corner.

Cons

Do you hear those sounds? 1. It is the sound of resumes printing as applications being completed for interviews elsewhere. We are finding out that someone does still value what we bring to the table. 2. It is the sound of clocks ticking as we wait, minute by minute for an offer to pack our stuff and leave - Yes, please! Offer a severance package! 3. It is the sound of the door shutting behind our co-workers who have fired or who have quit after so much abuse! 4. It is the sound of the false sincerity when you told us we belong and that the organization was inclusive. 5. It is the sound of our tears hitting the floor when your broke our hearts after we gave so much of ourselves for so long. 6. It is the sound of our founders’ hearts breaking when they see what has become of their life’s’ work / you’ve made a joke of it. 7. It is the sound of the bus beeping as you ran over us and then put it in reverse to run over us again.
