Pros

The money is great. As an server with 6 years experience you can make $150-300 a day . You get cash tips DAILY. Coworkers are mostly cool. Once you learn table numbers you’ll be fine.

Cons

the management sucks! The general manager seems cool at first and honestly, he is 60% of the time. But at other times he’s unreasonable and if you mess up once he will punish you for it. In my opinion that’s not fair esp if you break your back to make sure the restaurant is flowing and thriving. If you can deal w high volume and stress you will thrive. If you’ve never served here don’t apply.

Pros

Love the food, and initially joined because I loved their purpose as well, after working there I learned that they clearly do not follow the lifestyle they promote. Generally had a beautiful and kind staff.

Cons

Personal boundaries, both emotional and physical, were broken without care multiple times. Employee feedback was consistently ignored and condemned, from all positions, even other management (unless it was targeted at an employee of "lower standards"). Servers, bussers, hosts, and even some kitchen staff/management were given tasks to complete that were completely out of their job description and pay grade. Management took advantage of my open availability and for the longest time I never received a consistent schedule where I wasn't over-worked. Meanwhile, those that were "favorites" were given whatever schedule they wanted and were allowed to call out multiple times without punishment. Management was unprofessional and showed very clear uses of favoritism that was either based on looks and/or how much you boosted their ego. Clearly was not a meritocracy, because even the hardest working and most dedicated employees were still stepped on and under-appreciated. Watched a lot of beautiful, hard working employees get harassed and mis-treated continuously. Not a very eco-friendly company at all, didn't recycle, food was constantly wasted, and just generally had a clear lack of care for the environment. Line-ups in our pre-shifts included a "face-check"??? Overall, very manipulative and toxic management that had no respect or care for their employees.
