We are sorry that you feel this way. As you can see from our previous reviews and ratings that not all of our current or previous employees feel this way. We do provide our production team members with a 10 minute break in the morning as well as a 30 minute lunch. We are proud to offer our employees a work life balance, great pay and benefits at a stable company that is a leader in the commercial refrigeration industry.

Terrible Company to Work For

Pros

Nothing about True is good

Cons

Micro Managers - my boss was such a micro manager she didn't get her job done because she was too busy micromanaging everyone else's job. She also takes all the credit for any successful creative job done and is very intimidated by any new hire that comes in with new, inspiring ideas, even to go so far as getting them in trouble and doing everything in her power to get the new hire fired. Everything about this company, except a lot of my co-workers, is bad: managers, attendance policies, vacation, salaries, bonuses. If you're a minute late, kiss your good review goodbye. Everyone will tell you how great the bonuses are, but every year at bonus time, True sends a letter to the workers telling them how rough the year was and they're scaling back on bonuses. You're lucky if your bonus is a couple hundred dollars (minus the 40% taxes, of course). Raises are equally as bad: usually non-existent, but, if you're a factory worker, you may get a .10/hour raise every year or so. If you're a company person, you have to be beyond perfect to get a good review in order to get a bonus. If you take a job here, be prepared to be watched like a hawk - no personal phone calls, any time at all, no personal e-mails at all and don't even think about having a conversation with your co-workers, even if it's just a minute or two. Prisoners have more rights than True Manufacturing workers.

Thank you for your feedback. We take tremendous pride in our efforts to evolve our friendly atmosphere and our cultural values. I am disappointed you may have had a manager that did not represent these cultural values in the way we would expect. We are looking into this matter. Unfortunately, the rest of your review is considerably inaccurate: raises and bonuses are far from non-existent and your quote on factory raises couldn't be further from the truth. Additionally, we overhauled our attendance and vacation policies in 2014 and those changes are not represented in your review. In any case, we are deeply sorry that you feel this way about our company. We continue to make strides in our goal to become an employer of choice.

Pros

Not a whole lot to say here.

Cons

Where do I start. Dog eat dog environment. Like living in a prison. STRICT attendance policy for average pay..Go to another building you have to clock out and they clock in at the building you are going to and then clock out when you leave and clock in again when you get back . Each time typing in a four digit number. Talk about trust. One review hit it on the head. If you are coming back from a plant and have to stop for any reason they question why it took you 40 minutes and not the 35min it should take you because the HR dept has a sheet that tells them how much time it should take to get to each factory. Come on, Hit a road closed one day on my way to Pacific and had to go all the way around and it took me a lot longer and they questioned it and acted like they did not believe me. I even left a half hour early on my own time. World Class my butt.. They think the raises are something you should be proud of too and the bonus's are a joke.. Funny thing here is that I could ask my manager who majority are "yes" people a question about my job and they had no answer for me. Happened all the time. What ever happened to managers working there way up the ladder and knowing the job so anyone below you has a question the manager would know. Factory is like this too. Factory has managers who manage managers who manage line leaders and all just stand around and watch people work. I saw it all the time. Put them on the line and work too and if someone has a question they can answer it. Total waste of time and money. They have a set of hands put them to work and quit putting so much effort in policing the employees. They are great workers.. If someone quits they put whoever says yes the most into management . Find that out real quick.
