Pros

Pay was decent. Benefits were excellent.

Cons

Management will be on you at all times to push sales. This is primarily a sales position. If upper management wants to get rid of you, they will find a reason to terminate you with no warning. My entire branch (except 1 teller) was terminated with no warning for a minor policy violation that we weren’t even aware of. Make sure you read the code of ethics and policies thoroughly and follow them to a tee. The offense that got us all terminated was an asterisk at the very bottom of a page.

Pros

salary and the clients if you enjoy working with people.

Cons

Training is bare bones to say the least. After a few days doing virtual training and 2 weeks of web based training you are expected to take clients with no assistance. if you are in a blended branch there is a chance you won't have any guidance from leadership because they know about as much as you do. the training is no help. you learn how to talk and make a sale "barely" but no actual assistance with using the systems and learning the policies or procedures. you're supposed to have all of these one on one meetings which do not happen because everyone is too busy for you. but time will be found to scold you if you didn't make a sale or greet 1 person. very predatory in my opinion.

Pros

Benefits Pension after 5 years 401k with 6% match

Cons

Terrible management. Makes excuses and will blame everything on the team. Never holds themselves accountable. Higher ups don’t care, although they chose pretty words to make you think they do. Believe in creating an environment of “happiness” but do absolutely nothing to ensure that. Doesn’t care if people quit. They consider one person running two drive up lanes and the lobby by themselves over staffed because it fits their “truist model” You will never get praise for your work. No recognition, but will criticize you over everything. No chance of promotion or raise. Will promise you a promotion, wait months and when asked again they say it won’t be happening. INCREDIBLY TOXIC ENVIRONMENT.
