Pros

Some great employees with talent, but they are leaving the firm after the merger.

Cons

Basically an extension of the culture of Suntrust which is focused on avoiding risk and doing what is right for the firm and not its clients. Very little emphasis placed on growth and attracting good employees.

Merger Blues

Pros

BB&T was a great company because of the consideration given to employees and the over-all atmosphere even if they were somewhat understaffed. Great benefits and encouraged career advancements.

Cons

Truist is completely understaffed- the amount of work has tripled since the merger with the technology being patched together or just unavailable with no realistic training on any of the information or transformations.
