Pros

Phenomenal people - I can probably only count in one hand people I wouldn't want to work with again through the span of 8 years. Good benefits. Great values and mission. Great career support from HR, access to career coaching, LinkedIn courses, higher education assistance.

Cons

Disconnection between Sr leadership and teammates. They keep hiring people who bring in their teams and by doing so, they have "diluted" the culture. A better Wells Fargo/JPM as it relates to culture, but a lesser version of BB&T/SunTrust. They recently made the decision to have teammates in office full-time and we speculate that is to drive people out so they can exceed targets without additional layoffs - those there have been plenty of layoffs as well.

Audit Wildfire

Pros

You get to work here

Cons

If you start during the second half the year you are considered too new to rate and will not get a merit increase. Methodology and QA are behind the times. The Chief Audit Officer started just over a year ago and had no audit experience. There is a revolving door anyone that is any good at engagement management leaves since all the work gets dumped on them.

Leadership is clueless

Pros

Flexible work schedule if planned ahead. Good 401k package.

Cons

Executive leadership is listening to leaders below them in their hierarchy who are not presenting factual information. These leaders in the project spaces put on an image that they are knowledgeable in what they are talking to, but the actual teammates doing the work know the truth. There have been situations escalated to executive management that have gotten no resolution or response what-so-ever. Gives the teammates actually putting in the hours and work efforts no hope that things will change. It won't take much for us to walk away.
