Becoming less personal

Pros

Embraced remote work during pandemic. Compensation and policies are good, but specifics will depend on your manager.

Cons

Since the BB&T/SunTrust merger to form Truist, the bank has become far less personal than when it was BB&T. It used to be a small southern bank, even through several mergers, where employees felt valued. Now that value seems to be lip service.

Pros

There aren’t any PROs to working at Truist unless you’re a former SunTrust associate.

Cons

Arrogant, useless managers who are master delegators and don’t know much about anything except brown-nose in hopes of getting promoted to yet another job they’re unqualified for.
