Pros

company cares about employee growth. feels like senior leadership is truly bought into the mission, not just lip service. good pay, employee banking perks.

Cons

there is a laundry list. branch banking business model is not great. before I took the job I expressed that I wanted to focus on building relationships, building community, financial planning, helping people grow along their financial journey. I expressed that I did not want to be used primarily as a teller. I was told I would spend most of my time at the desk, but even as a senior banker I am only used to cover the teller line, but still asked to meet banker goals. the job is more of an office manager / lead teller position than a banker position. having a lot of experience as a banker, I felt like I took a step backwards when I took this job.
