Disappointing

Pros

Nice office space set up

Cons

It’s really sad because this company was exceptional when I first started. After about 6 months, everything went completely downhill. This company will make changes in processes without communicating it but then reprimand when the employees aren’t doing the changes that were never communicated. The most popular saying is “find a work around.” They say that because they don’t even know how to fix the issues. They ask their recruiters to pitch jobs that aren’t even available just so they can get the traveler to fill out an application. 90% of jobs posted aren’t even open. I submitted one nurse to over 60 openings and there were only a handful of her submittals that even got submitted to the facility. I don’t imagine Trustaff will be in business much longer at this rate.

Pros

Company-provided equipment Work-from-home Uncapped commission Some training on relevant medical terminology

Cons

Unrealistic metrics - expected to make a minimum of 75-100 calls per day, EVERY day, no matter what else you have to work on. One week I had three three submittals that became placements (which was a lot of work given the amount of searching and the fact that recruiters have to calculate and negotiate pay), but I was still faulted for not making my call metrics Nurse contracts are CONSTANTLY postponed or cancelled, often because other departments within the company drop the ball - which of course means you can't earn your commission through no fault of your own. Also the poor nurses suffer, sometimes after they have already moved to a new city for the contract that ends up being cancelled. I morally could not recruit nurses anymore knowing what could happen. Feels more like you're working a call center. I last 6 months, and within that time HALF of my team had quit. You'd think that would be a hint that things need to change.

Trustaff credentialing managment

Business Outlook

Pros

Remote, great coworkers, that is about it

Cons

Trustaff is marred by the egregious failures of their credentialing department's senior leadership team. It seems at the highest level, the upper management is disconnected from the job at hand and fails to be understanding or even remotely competent. It seems evident they have little experience with the job at hand and a poor understanding of optimally operating this department. They continually make poor decisions overall towards improving the conditions of their credentialing department and are overall focused on profit and sales over caring or their employees. They continually push for contracts with inept travelers instead of considering the implications on the poor patient care they may provide. Overall, please stay away.
