      Fun to volunteer, but will do nothing to help you get a foot in the door in healthcare.

      Pros

      You get free drinks in the cafeteria and some money off of food. Some staff are good to work with, hospital spread out so you can get your steps in. A good way to serve the public.

      Cons

      Volunteered for years at TMC, never got a job offer, even at the entry level after applying for a lot of positions. If you want to get into healthcare, get a degree and work for another hospital than TMC. Many staff don't like working with volunteers at all, unclear volunteer assignments, no skills learned.
