Pros

The students were eager to learn and the instructors were fantastic the welding profession is exciting and the instructors promoted this.

Cons

The work environment is tense, an employee never knows if they are saying the right thing. Offering advice or criticism to fellow workers or management is a sure way to get fired. The school does not meet all ACCSC standards, but that does not matter to upper management. Unfortunately, the students pick up on the tense conditions. They never know if a person they are being mentored or consulting with will be there the next day.

Pros

Very rewarding, its the only thing that has kept me here. Helping change students life forever is a great feeling. TWS IS the best welding school is the best school because of its amazing instructors and admissions staff, everyone goes above and beyond for its students

Cons

One word, management! They ruin everything, even if you make your budget you still get chewed out cause you did not do better. It's a buddy system there, you are either on the outside or inside. If your on the outside your screwed, so my advice would be if your not friends with a member of management there DO NOT DO IT!! Management makes such a great school a very uncomfortable work environment.

Pros

No real responseability or accountability for certain departments. On the job training for instructors, learn to weld while teaching others and get over-paid for it!

Cons

Joking aside if you are not part of the instructional staff then TWS is less of a career and more of a stop between jobs. The company was bought out by it current owners almost 3 years ago and it has been on a steady quality down-slide ever since. The school has long since departed from it's high standards and ethics to make our students the best welders they can be, and has ushered an era of crooked business tactics to get as many students in the door, prepared or not, for maximum profit.. It's no longer "For Welders by Welders" it's now ripping of your son or daughter for our owners gain.
