Pros

-The free coffee -Cool building -Casual dress code

Cons

- The founders don't want your opinion unless it aligns with theirs - Talent is not valued - Quick to get rid of people because they simply do not agree with you or like you - The founders do not care about your career growth - Benefits are expensive especially for families, not much less than getting them independently. - Founders do not trust anyone to do their job and are incredibly condescending - Managers are not allowed to manage and are not empowered to do their jobs - A lot is promised in recruiting and interviewing that really means nothing (will build a team, increased bonus % - but bonuses are never paid in full and an all around strange bonus program setup) - Very behind the technological curve, but think they are super innovative - Unsolicited feedback on things that don't really even matter - Founders don't respect their employees or their time (late for meetings all the time, reschedule meetings, show up at noon then expect you to stay late to meet) - Constantly changing direction with no real data, but everyone else is expected to back their ideas with data and it's a "core value"

Pros

As a manager you will receive countless opportunities to work on some big projects and in turn build up your resume! This is based off poor decision making by executive team though which in turn is a huge frustration. Casual dress code was a plus too.

Cons

I have to start by saying my first three years were great, it was the best place I had ever worked. It took a hard turn downhill and just kept getting worse. For two years I held on hoping it would get back to how it once was. There was constant turnover throughout the company from hourly team members to executive leaders. This turnover rate led to an incredibly toxic working environment. Trust and teamwork were practically nonexistent. All of these factors destroyed morale throughout the company. A company can mask their issues with bowling alleys and pizza parties but soon enough all the “cool stuff” will fizzle out. Being terminated was the biggest boost to my morale! I left in a better mood then when I arrived that day which is a sad thing to note.
