Pay is a joke compared to the workload they expect you to handle. "Sugar Honey Iced Tea" constantly rolls downhill from mgmt. Raises are merit based, meaning there is no guarantee your raise will match inflation rates. Bonuses and benefits have progressively gotten worse over the years. They took away our goal-based $1000 yearly bonus and replaced it with what is essentially a tipping system between employees, putting the responsibility on us to distribute $25 a month to our coworkers. They gave us less time off compared to seniority in a recent pto policy change. Health insurance is run of the mill, nothing special like BCBS. The company loves to brag about its "fun" culture because they provide free food and dress up days about 3 times a year, but will make you feel like an outsider for not participating... as if it's required to spend money out of my own pocket to buy my own costume to wear while sitting at a desk. It's really just like every other corporate job out there. Management and HR are not there to help you, and will actively lie to you. I was given a performance enhancement plan without any prior communication or write-ups for performance. The one conversation I did have with my manager regarding performance was very unclear, and when I followed up to ask them how I could improve they said I was doing great, they just wanted to check in. The entire time leading up to the PEP I was told I was doing great. I don't understand why they couldn't have an adult conversation with me about performance if it was an issue, how do they expect someone to improve if they do not work with them?
