Pros

Other employees can relate when it comes to the stress of being over worked and under appreciated.

Cons

Where do I start? Ten minute break given after being there 1 hour and one min. Same after lunch. Makes for many hours in the room especially the last 3 hours of the day. Lunch is given 2.5-3 hours after arriving. On our way out the door we are told to do a 45 minute lunch due to low staff yet hiring isn't happening. ( Especially if they research the company and read reviews on here) Lunch isn't the same time or around the same time each day. Makes it hard to plan an appointment if needed ( since we can't gets days off) On our breaks lunches and 10's is also told to be used to grab supplies for the room or else you'll be stuck without. ie wipes, changing paper, diapers, gloves ect. Some support with management but it's very selective. No time to create lessons plans unless it's on your own time ( not going to happen) Now on to the kids. Gezzz they shuffle them between the infant toddler room like a deck of cards in Vegas. Some toddlers are moved more than 4 times a day. How are they supposed to bond with their own teacher of they just go back and forth all day. No regard to babies sleeping when bringing toddlers in the room. Some have a hard time with transitions yet they still bring them upset drop and go. Let's go on to cleaning. Why have the crew come less during a time when cleaning is most important (covid-19) carpets and floors aren't professionally cleaned hardly ever. What's next? Supplies they order after figuring out an item is needed. Gloves, wipes and changing paper run out constantly. Wouldn't it be smart to have those item on automatic reorder? There isn't enough for the kids to have more lunch or snacks if they are more hungry then others. I could go on but really why? It's not like any of it will change. The turn over of employees is constant. Probably because once you figure out how the school is run you are ready to run out the door. They don't ask or even give any notice of having to stay longer than your time on a daily basis. Up to a half an hour or more. Forget trying to plan anything after work. Just like the lunches. I wouldn't mind staying if asked. They just keep filling you up at max amount you can have. As 1 or 2 go home they blend and bring you however many more so your are at max ratio. Once as many children go then you are allowed to go. Usually 15, 20 up to 30 past your time. No phone on one side of the room where you are left unless you can flag someone down out the window. Hot water on the same side of the room where the phone is that you can't get to because one is sleeping. So calling for help is literally impossible. Cross over to get hot water or other necessary items and you will be in trouble like you left the children alone in the room. When really you are only a few feet away. Please don't respond with any kind of appogies unless you intend to change any of it. It's sad how much parents pay and if they only knew the things that go on. My parent reviews on yelp are amazing. I work my butt off only to figure out that there is more on top of more. Paperwork and procedures that take away from just being and bonding with the kids. If you are considering a job here all I can say is do your homework. Know your worth and that this company won't change because the money made is way more important.

Pros

Good work environment, friendly director and assistant director, fully staffed, which allows you to leave on time and to be able to call in when you need to.

Cons

As a lead teacher with 10 years of experience, $12 is very underpaid. When I first started off in this industry at the age of 19 and at an entry position, I was already making $11.54. By the end of my 3rd year I was making $14.58. For all of the experience I have...and just the stress of working in child care in general..$12 is very low.
