Pros

Children and families are amazing.

Cons

This company starts people off at minimum wage. Some teachers work here for years and only increase their pay by 2 dollars, while the company makes HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars a year. The teachers are moved from class to class, and the students are, as well. The turnover rate is quite high and recent events have caused loyal teachers to abandon ship. The director gossips about the employees to other employees and plays favorites, while berating other employees. They constantly change the scheduled the employees are supposed to work and sometimes make more qualified teachers leave their rooms due to unqualified staff. Employee concerns are not addressed, which leave the employees feeling insecure and undervalued. The issues not addressed are employee attitudes, drama between employees, and potential issues with children , including: behavioral issues, scheduling issues, and potential developmental delays.

Pros

-This school has amazing students and families to work with. -There are a FEW teachers at this school that are just phenomenal... -There are themed days at school, a winter concert, holiday dinner, school picnics, teacher appreciation week, and a variety of summer activities. -School funding is excellent, you won't have to pay out of pocket for school supplies for your classroom. -Time-off is usually granted fairly (number of days for PAID time off is very limited). -A lots of recent updates such as security, playground equipment, and freshly painted hallways. -Overall school appearance is very nice.

Cons

-A few strong lead teachers cannot carry the weight of an entire school. -There is close to ZERO planning time for curriculum and teacher-family meetings. -Assistant teachers were often sitting down when they could have been helping with a number of things in the classrooms. Lead teachers often felt like they had to tell them what to do instead of taking their own initiative. -Several teachers: both lead and assistant, pull out their phones during the day instead of interacting with students or properly monitoring the room during rest time. -There are HUGE PROBLEMS with understaffing and quick turn over rates... led to some teachers staying late or missing personal engagements because they had to stay at work longer. -There are HUGE PROBLEMS with out-of-ratio classrooms sporadically throughout the day. This is against the law. -Two directors and one assistant director have come and gone in less than two years... -HUGE PROBLEMS with gossiping and passive aggressive actions among the teachers. -Biggest Con: THE PAY IS AWFUL! Tuition to Tutor Time schools is quite pricey for the consumer! Where is all of this money going? To unneeded school upgrades? Wasteful budgeting of school supplies? The CEO's wallet? It's a shame. Better pay would help the morale of the few good teachers that the school *may* still have.

Pros

Kids can be sweet, I've made many connections, and found happiness in helping them reach their potential

Cons

EHS has way too little staff. I work over 50hrs a week. When sick I am told I cannot go home because they are short staffed. Staff gossips, and spreads lies about each other. Management yells at you and judges you. I've asked several times for my hours to be cut only to be met with laughter and being told I knew what I was getting into. I've been torn down by people saying I am a bad teacher, and I do a poor job. I get paid very poorly. Everything is overwhelming about this place.
