-Flexible scheduling -Work from home -Generally work with good kids -Mentor system is pretty good, always get good feedback. -Easy to pick up extra hours

-Hard to get scheduled hours sometimes -Pay isn't comparable to tutoring in person

Pros

The flexibility in scheduling hours is unbeatable. Now that Tutor.com offers services 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, you can pick any time to work their 5 hour/ week recommendation. You also have great flexibility in canceling a scheduled session when an emergency comes. While the pay doesn't quite compare to what a private tutor could earn on their own, the ease of the online system, their payment options, the unbeatable flexibility and the fact that you can do it from anywhere make for a job I wouldn't give up.

Cons

The pay could be better. In some way they've actually decreased the pay for the tutors in recent years. This was originally due to the "recession," but I'm not sure if it will increase afterwards.
