Good company despite some bad division management

Pros

Leader in public sector Strong overall performance despite some bad division leaders Dedicated employee despite low pay

Cons

Agree with others - the management at Renton Division reflect badly on the company and treat their employees like fools *Terrible track record: they failed everything they do. Just look at EDEN, it is fading from the market; their partner Microsoft is ditching them too. *Nepotism: all key management positions are occupied by people related to the old management of EDEN company or their friends. The management are clueless on what they are doing. That's why EDEN products and Dynamics AX are spinning wheels going no where. * Never believe a word from your managers: They promise promotions and pay raise when they need you but will quickly forget their promises after they are done using you and blame it on upper management or partners. They would never hesitate to throw you off the bus to make themselves cost saving champions. * Vicious retention strategy: they pay well below market rate. If you put them as one of your referees, they would deliberately give bad reference to your potential employers. That's why so many good people stuck there with stagnant salary.

Pros

Company has a lot of good people and many good products.

Cons

The cons would be a huge list, but I'll focus on a few. Communication internally is terrible. The attempt is there with letters from the CEO etc. but it's well understood that if you have issues they stop at management. The company is so divided up that you are silo'd like I've never dealt with before. There is absolutely zero training for those in sales positions, other people with more time on the job try to help train but they themselves have never undergone extensive training. You are made to feel stupid for not knowing the in's and out's, in fact it can come back to bite you in a employee performance score. Management is very focused on #s, but unfortunately, without the slightest effort taken to assess territory opportunity. It's a blind shot in the dark that can only be attributed to number pushers higher up that are even more focused on the bottom line and not paying attention to market trends or competition. Annual performance reviews focus on one thing and one thing only....$$. There is an attempt to disguise this fact by putting other stuff on a eval, but in the end if your numbers aren't good you score badly in areas like...communicating with clients and other staff?
