      Banking nightmare

      Pros

      Good for starting positions only.

      Cons

      Probably the worst health benefits in the banking industry. All plans have a deductible so if you ever need to see a doctor for more than the annual check up be ready to spend a lot of money. Upper management has this idea that all the salaried employees do not have a personal life so they can work long hours and don't need a day off. The same idea does not apply to them though, as they don't really provide too much support. The cheapest company to work for. Expect to buy your own pens and post it notes as the bank does not supply those. They prefer hiring from outside rather than promoting from within as they believe that the grass is greener on the other side.

      Pros

      Adequate training provided upon hiring both in person and on the computer. Most co-workers friendly and a pleasure to work with. Each branch has a family feel.

      Cons

      -Irregular hours during the week. Different begging, lunch, and ending time every day. -Far too retail minded. Did not appreciate the pressure to sell credit cards when economy was so bad. -Did not encourage or reward any creativity. Needed to stick to their guidelines. -Some rules and regulations were irrational and not applicable to the day to day operations. -Advancement was way too competitive -Pay is poor for the amount of responsibility and work done.

      Pros

      I have only been here for about 6 months, but so far it has been great! My manager is very supportive and nice, and I can relate to her a lot.

      Cons

      I don't really have any complaint about working here - it has been great this whole time. Attendance is definitely a bit strict, but it's to be expected.
