      Pros

      The branch I worked for: great managers, great customers, good pay. I felt like I had a voice. If I did something good for a customer not only was I given kudos from district/regional mangers, I was also financially rewarded for it too. My branch was a great team. The rewards for preforming well were phenominal! I fully agree with their moto: a happy employee is a productive employee.

      Cons

      The pay. They could make the pay more competative.

      Pros

      Prudently and conservatively managed which has paid dividends in this tumultuous financial environment. US Bank has historically been so conservative that Wall Street has hammered the management team for its slow and steady approach. However, that style of management has really paid off during the market downturn. US Bank is leading its peers in financial measures and shareholder returns. The community banking model is an attractive model that sort of combines the small town community bank feel that is backed by the strength and technology of the large institutions.

      Cons

      It is still a very large company that is not immune to office politics. There is still lack of communication from upper management down through the footprint. US Bank has always been a bank that is worried about how effecient they are run, which translates into being cheap. They do not make enough investments into facilities, supplies and human capital.
