Pros

Great work environment, culture and colleagues. Benefits are outstanding.

Cons

Employees have to be on a waitlist for parking. May take up to a year to get close parking to your office.

Pros

Good sense of community among graduate students, good and great professors to work for, nice unpretentious arts and outdoors culture in Riverside if you look for it, easy access to LA and the high desert.

Cons

The student to TA ratio has increased with the state budget problems. Most undergrad students don't put in an Ivy League effort into their work, obviously. Not really any downsides as far as the research side of things goes.
