Pros

-Direct manager was very understanding and felt for us

Cons

-Per Diem was half of what was normal for California AND they originally refused to pay for all days away from home -Car usage and mileage issues (did not pay employees travel to and from work when using company vehicles when staying at hotels) -Training for position was hectic and not extremely helpful -Failed to realize the scope of the project so they were actually losing money and were extremely far behind production. -Retention rate through training was around 66%, after a month 55%, after multiple months around 35-40% for our particular job. I could go on but really these are the highlights

Pros

Very casual culture, co-workers are very nice and questions are appreciated. The work contains many guidelines that must be adhered to but you always know what work you're doing.

Cons

Little advacement. You basically need to scream at someone to get more experience in a certain field or else they will just put you wherever. No choice in the projects you get put on. Could get furloughed at any time due to UDC putting all their eggs in one bowl. Once PG&E went under, most of the company was furloughed for weeks with no backpay.
