      PO With No Where To Go

      Pros

      It is a comfortable job with great benefits that counter balances the uncompetitive pay. People are nice and helpful. Release cycles are generally predictible. Even stressfull product releases are reasonable and not chaotic.

      Cons

      I am noticing UKG is hiring many directors and senior management while many of the Product Owners and Managers have been stuck in the same role for 5+ years. Several higher level people have acknowledged to me that UKG pays less than the industry. This seems like a great place to work if you are director or higher. Everyone else seems stuck walking in circles waiting to see which new hire will be there new boss.

      Pros

      Benefits are good. That's what makes most people tolerate the lack of promotions and growth opportunities. Most people here are pleasant to work with.

      Cons

      Literally zero promotions and growth opportunities within the learning design. People at the top get promoted and get more money. The smaller fish at the bottom of the corporate chain get thank you notes when they work hard and overachieve. A lot of politics and favoritism going on. Team meetings consist of managers bragging about themselves and telling you how wonderful and exciting everything is. Things used to be tolerable with Ultimate. Don't expect to see this company on the list of best companies to work for anymore. The cheap mugs they send out once a year won't hide the fact that they are going from bad to worse.

      Pros

      Only useful benefit left is the 401K match

      Cons

      - Two semi-mediocre companies merged to form an entirely mediocre company. - Legacy K employees hate Legacy U employees and vice versa. - Both Legacy K and Legacy U have subpar industry skills, and the software shows. - Sr Leadership has weak diversity. - Supposed to be a merger, but all Sr Leadership is composed of Legacy K. - Company beg employees to write good reviews, and even then, the reviews are bad! - #52 ain't #2, never was and NEVER will be.
