Pros

Working with great people WFH Excellent 401k Match

Cons

If you are a good employee they will work you into the ground. Pay structure is hidden and difficult to navigate Reactive rather than proactive Culture is getting too intrusive

Pros

Company paid health insurance for single employee Unlimited PTO (if you can get your manager to approve it) Great team mates Knowledgeable people who are willing to help you in a crunch. Not too many people silo themselves and they are willing to step up and assist during their busy day. I like my direct manager, they are kind, encouraging and supportive.

Cons

Where to start… Don’t believe all the fake hype from the kool-aid drinkers. There’s a lot of talk and not a lot of action at this company. Upper Management is only focused on numbers and quotas. You’re just a number to them. Whats that about “People First?” Direct managers have power to do nothing it seems. Work life balance is talked about all the time yet people are still drowning trying to keep up with the work. People joke that they never take PTO and work nights and weekends just to meet their goals…what does that tell you? Raises are dismal. The bonuses do not make the overtime work near worth it. Oh and despite the size of the organization, you’ll never get a promotion. Only the empty promise of one and extra responsibility that comes with one but it’ll never come to fruition. Whatever level and salary you are hired in at, get comfy with that because it’ll never go noticeably higher. Our project management tools are from the 20th century-we are still using excel for project tracking and discovery?

Pros

UKG will do well in the future and is a good company to work for

Cons

I left UKG on good terms, but didn't really say what needed to be said. I think that the first thing to consider is that there is a lot of nepotism within the organization. If you don't have family connections or are a favorite it will be challenging to advance even if you are a good performer. I think it is strange they often promote not based on performance and professionalism, but on other factors which rubbed me the wrong way. With the merger, challenges and changes are to be expected, but I think treating everyone equally is something that shouldn't really waiver. Lastly, it seemed like any projects we worked on were only explained to certain people which was weird considering I am very proactive and have been successful in every role I have had. There were multiple projects that I was unaware of the criteria, and there was only a quick apology that I "wasn't on that email" or that "I forgot to bring that up in our meeting." It didn't seem genuine and felt like I was trying to get a seat at the popular kids table or something which didn't feel right to me.
