Zero Work/Life Balance

Pros

This is a company that says all the right things. Benefits are awesome, people are friendly and want to help one another succeed.

Cons

Since covid and working from home, consultants are in Zoom meetings for 8-10 hours a day, and then spend after hours and weekends catching up on work and following up on items. It’s sad when you work from home and don’t even have time to walk to the kitchen to grab lunch between meetings... it has been this way for months. Management does not care; it’s the new speed of work and expected of all of us. Oh, but you’ll have mandatory zoom “happy hours” to celebrate working 50-60 hours a week. The “unlimited” PTO this company brags about is an absolute joke. You can never take time off due to your schedule, and your annual bonus is based on billable hours, so you have a strong incentive not to take time off.

Pros

Benefits (Only because all employees received the Ultimate Software - People First Benefits and 401k)

Cons

The Ultimate Software world class Culture is gone. It's more about the bottom line now. Top heavy organization. Care is gone, communication is terrible. We will lose a lot of great employees over the next 12 months and I don't think Executives care. Since the merger of "Nothing will change", well for some did massively and only benefiting one company and it wasn't Legacy Ulti Peeps. Companies can talk a big game around culture but Ultimate actually lived it..UKG is not heading in the right direction of building a culture of People First. Culture is more than providing Benefits and 401k,, it's a mind set, either you have it or you don't.

Pros

Benefits (if they don’t change)

Cons

The culture is dead. UKG (specifically Ultimate Software) used to be a great company to work for. However, the culture has died. Work life balance is gone, morale is low, and the best employees are leaving left and right. Senior leadership is all new, and has no interest in keeping the culture in tact. Decisions are made at a high level, and are strong-armed, without considering the impact to the employees.
