Pros

Employer paid benefits (deductible raised) Unlimited 410k match ( eliminated for catch-up) Still some good people left No layoffs due to COVID

Cons

NO longer feels likes like focused on employees it feels like focused on cutting costs and getting the most out of you. Kronos ACQUIRED ultimate software, is now in the process of absorbing the different areas. Large number of US leaders are gone and replaced with Kronos managers. Most of the perks we enjoyed are being cut. In the other reviews you'll see nickel and dime, a new cut every month. Jobs being migrated oversees, give you one guess where. Ultimate Software used to be #2 on glassdoor, last year UKG didn't even place. Trust the glassdoor, the other ranking sites are not anonymous. Ultimate made you fee like they cared, at UKG it feels like only cares about cutting the costs. Its fast on the way to being another mediocre company.

Pros

- promises good treatment if employees and work/life balance - discounted masseuses - Free ice cream and food trucks - Lots of events with training - “Flexible” hours - Snacks, games, and fun if you’re a developer

Cons

- unequal treatment of people is the norm. Managers play favorites and hold people to different standards. - Company is marketed as one where people are treated equally, but new hires aren’t treated with the same consideration. - very dated core product, uses programming languages similar to FORTRAN, BASIC, or pascal, behind a modern interface using new languages. - very bad security. Sensitive data is not handled properly. - employees spread rumors about each other, and management blindly believes them without getting context from you - Orwellian use of language - Unlimited PTO is a lie. They limit it until you’re “a real member in the family” - Not allowed to be ill your first year, or you’ll be guilted, arouse suspicion, and put on track to get terminated - Middle management varies by department; vague expectations in my department, you’ll be crucified if you’re not psychic - Middle management uses this vagueness to cover up their own incompetence - Some department (“phases”) don’t have any facilities, let alone enough parking for their employees. - management pretends everything is okay until they have enough reasons to compile a list of infractions to use against you.

Pros

Benefits, culture, people, facilities are all great. Unfortunately thats not enough.

Cons

The core product is dated, anything new is bought or partnered. Management doesn't listen to constructive feedback and you are told to "get in the ultimate bubble" or you are told by the Chief People officer, "If you don't like it here, get the hell out, we don't need you." That quote was from an employee meeting. Not every people first. Too many insecure and immature leaders. Was once a great company, now just living off the past. Very improper compensation practices by senior management. Too much looking the other way when improper things take place. According to the earnings calls the last two quarters, they are struggling to hit numbers. Beginning of the end I'm afraid.
