Pros

- Company paid healthcare - Flexible PTO (if your manager is not toxic)

Cons

- Mandatory return to office - Knee jerk reactions to customer demands - Poorly planned changes to support organization - People who do no understand the support roles create metrics which are unattainable for even the most tenured and experiences technicians - Middle management is clueless and toxic for the most part - Lacks proper training and relies on robotic power point style training and instead relies on "on the job training" which causes severe stress for employees and frustration for customers who generally have more product knowledge than the support person they are dealing with.

“IPO for me, Layoffs for thee”

Pros

Coworkers who also realized they are getting shafted by new leadership

Cons

- Wealthy new executives are obsessed with an IPO so they can add tens of millions of dollars to their already heavy bank accounts, while laying off hard working folks with families to make the numbers look better for investors. - if you’re thinking of starting a career here, Don’t. Hugo and his fellow consultants running the show will fire you or push you to quit so that their balance sheet looks better when they dump their shares and cash out.

Don't drink the cool-aid

Pros

Good people, decent benefits like health insurance although it has been getting worse every year, and 401k

Cons

If you are going to work there just don’t drink the UKG cool-aid. They will dump you probably faster than most companies when things get tight because they at some point want to go public in the US and need those financials to be tight and the best way to do that is by cutting people. What most of the people are saying on the site about remote work is true. They basically loved remote workers during the pandemic but now the ceo is backing out of that position. It seems like a pretty despicable thing to do especially when you were hired full time remote and if you are not in commutable distance from an office he might not be making you come in but you sure aren’t feeling very welcome. As for how the company was before the merger I can’t really speak to that I wasn’t there then but I heard it was good. As for management, well the company is a mess they merged years ago on paper but never actually merged apps or systems so there is basically 2 or 3 of everything. Management brings in consultants to do all the dirty work of firing people and reorganizing the place. There is a lot of work to do which is good but management is terrible at prioritizing projects so everything is in major disarray. Panic is not a management style but they seem to think it is which is why every project is critical, no order to things and you are constantly under pressure to complete projects for no discernible reason. You will stress to complete a ‘critical’ project then you will see it get shelved for years. Your co-workers are very nice and I understand people always complain about management but in this case I must say there is plenty here to complain about. So my advice, take the job if offered but be careful. They have recently changed raised their performance review standards to Rank & Yank so if you get a ‘doesn’t meet expectations’ on your review start looking for a job you probably have 3-4 months. Good luck guys.
