Pros

The pay is acceptable for the most part

Cons

Random layoffs, frequent direction changes, monthly re-orgs, Extremely low morale. So they fired several teams and many principal engineers, replaced them with contractors, moved several projects overseas, and are blaming the low customer satisfaction and increasing number of outages on people not being in the office. Entire teams openly talk about when management will lay off everyone in our department not currently in India. Ultimate software was bought by some private equity group so they could merge it with kronos. They took the worst of both companies, and anything good left over was fired and replaced with trash. I joined Ultimate because there were so many high-skill engineers that I could learn from and grow my skills. All of those people are gone, and I no longer feel like there is any more opportunity for growth.

Pros

It has a really nice kitchen.

Cons

I had read all the hype that Kronos was one of the best places in Boston to work so I specifically sought it out when I was interviewing. I filled a role they had open for quite some time and did the job well, my reviews were exemplary. A family member got sick and I needed to move. I asked if I could switch to working remotely as my job did not involve anything physical and could easily have been done as such. Everyone in my management structure fought to keep me but the VP said that if I was allowed to work remotely then everyone would want to. Kronos sells itself as a company that watches out for its employees. So long as you don't need anything from it then maybe that's true but as soon as you do, they'll cut you loose with zero hesitation. Extremely disappointing.

Pros

Benefits for now, but they won't be great for long.

Cons

If you're interviewing, do not be fooled by Our Purpose is People and the very inviting benefits. Also, do not believe the recent, 2 liner positive reviews as new employees and recently hired employees are asked to submit these!! Take a look at the recent, candid negative employees who have a legit reason to be downright angry. If you want a dismissive, arrogant, no care for people employer, than you have found your home. Recent layoffs and more coming, benefits on the road to be no better than anywhere else. RTO x3 days/week even if you were hired remote and you have a contract that states this. They don't uphold their end of the bargain and "At Will Contracts" can be and WILL be changed without any notification to you or your fellow team members. Don't believe the lies - they are just that. Run as fast as you can.
