Pros

PTO - around 23 days accrued over a year with ability to roll over a lot of it Low cost health insurance Work from home flexibility...if you're on a certain Team. (Not all HR leaders allow WFH) Exposed to a ton that will build up your resume to prepare you to eventually leave Lots of internal resources like Legal, Compliance, and HR partners to go to to ensure you're doing everything correctly. You have a part in the overall mission by bringing in talent to the organization to take care of the patients. On-site employee health clinics. Career ladder within TA and HR roles (HR makes more and you will have to beg for a promotion a year in advanced, have it dangled in your face, jump through hoops, then be told it was not approved due to budget.

Cons

Very low pay. Work/Life balance - many of us working over 40hrs per week Extremely high expectations from internal leaders who have no understanding of TA TA was decentralized in 2020 and now reports directly into HR teams who have no idea what TA does. You also make less than the HR consultants while being expected to help out with their Employee Relations work Lots of pressure to fill jobs but there is no retention plans in place by HR teams for those you hire. TA is blamed for the inability to fill positions despite the fact that UPMC pays people extremely low and retention in the departments is very poor. Leader within the organization are mediocre or poor leaders. Should not be in leadership Roles. TA is very unappreciated and understaffed. Revolving door... Req loads are very disproportioned amongst Recruiters. Culture sucks now that TA is decentralized. Very shady internal promotions. They reward mediocracy.

Pros

Work from home after 6 months-10 months

Cons

Low pay Massive amounts of work Management wants you to take on responsibilities of other co-workers when they don’t do their jobs right. Acw (after call work) is 3 minutes. Not enough time to finish work correctly.
