Pros

There is a good work life balance. Managers understand that people have a life and are not very strict about work hours as long as you get the work done. If you are looking for a job with a steady income - this is one. If you would rather work only between 9 - 5 this is the place. If you're happy with doing what you do and do not want to take more responsibilities - this is the right place.

Cons

At UPS its very laid back when it comes to Information Services. People here are not very smart and those few that are smart are only ones who work, yet get stagnated in the careers. It takes too long to get promoted.

Pros

The benefits are good and the tuition reimbursement is the only reason you should ever become a PT supervisor. If not, STAY IN THE UNION.

Cons

All they care about is numbers, not you. You have to beg for time off, the pay is poor compared to what you have to do, only recently did they pay if you worked more than five and half hours, you never get repairs for your equipment when you needed it, all the departments work against each other, they constantly under staff you and forces you to work which then leads to some of the union workers to correctly file a grievance with you. They lie to you about being promoted to full time management and they expect you to lie to your workers that they'll be drivers within 2 years, when it's realistically a five to seven year wait.

Pros

Benefits are okay. Pay is okay as long as you make commission.

Cons

New change in sales force is confusing and we were lied to about the roles. One day it’s mostly remote and sales isn’t a big deal, the next it’s four days in territory and new sales isn’t 50% of commission. Just don’t feel like anyone making decisions knows how we do our jobs and frankly doesn’t care about morale. Union got everything they wanted and now constant layoffs and fear of losing your job randomly are a daily thing.
