Pros

For a part time position, this is a great way to get amazing benefits. The work is repetitive and you can expect roughly the same experience everyday. For the mostpart, management leaves you alone if you come in and do your job.

Cons

It is a physically demanding job, but since it's only a 3-5 hour shift, it's not too bad. Sometimes, management goes on write up sprees and will try to write you up for every little thing from wrong footwear to not coming into work, even with a doctor's note. (However, the Union will usually be your voice and help get you out of it.)

Pros

Great for people who may have been unemployed for a while and want to re enter the work force. The benefits are amazing if u work hard and stick it out past busy holiday season you get to be apart of the union within 3 months and will recieve amazing benefits with part time work. That's if they don't cut your hours to 1 time a week like they did me.

Cons

They don't train u very well and they will put u on the schedule only to send u home if they don't need u which is a waste of your time &gas. The main con is the union dues. Not that I have a problem with union dues, it's just when they cut your hours the union still wants their $80.00 so u will work 1 day a month for free basically. I got a pay check for . 69 cents after working 5 hours filling 10 trucks because the union took my entire pay check

Pros

It stretches you at first but when you get your feet wet you are pretty independent and you need that freedom to grow

Cons

Only con is it’s tough assimilating to a high position in UPS if you’ve never worked in the lower positions in the company
