Pros

Depending on where you work UPS may or may not be a great place to work. Working in larger hubs provide the most opportunities to advance while working in smaller places do not.

Cons

Upper management in some locations are not very strong vs the union. Problems do not get fixed timely and I have never worked at a place where someone can not show up to work for a week without notifying anyone and still have a job.

Pros

* Tution assistance * The work is so stressful you build a great bond between coworkers. * UPS does a geat job giving back to the community

Cons

*No time of during Christmas season * Union is a cancer to this company, it only serves as protection for the worst employees *Union employees arebetter compensated then the people who manage them *The hours managment work are unheard of at other companies. 65-70+ hours a week isnt uncommon for an On-Car Supervisor.

Pros

Saw the above slogan on the back of a Service Provider's t-shirt, thought it was very appropriate. The single most inspiring factor about UPS is their ability to get really good people who are funny, smart and hardworking. I had a lot of fun making friends there, and most of the bosses are great, family-oriented people who give good feedback on your performance. The fantastic heritage of UPS is also to be upheld. It's a brand name we can all be proud of.

Cons

Salary and compensation is really dissatisfactory, although I heard a whole batch of colleagues got promoted after a few of us tendered our resignations. Also, there needs to be more even challenges across departments: We can be quite change-resistant, which is inevitable due to the implementation time and cost for a large organization like ours.
