Pros

Large company that affords lots of job options for entry-level and new employees.

Cons

Poor merit-based performance rating system that allows a single manager to completely control an employee's advancement trajectory; no performance input is allowed from peers, and dotted-line management. If a manager is reluctant to let a high performing employee leave his/her team, there is very little remedy for the employee to address this when it happens.

Pros

- You don't have to work too hard compared to other companies - You won't be pushed to innovate - you can just collect your paycheck -Hard to get fired

Cons

- Tenure with the company is rewarded over ability and innovation - leads to a very mediocre product - Company is penny-wise and pound foolish - Because management can't back-fill positions, they are hesitant to let you move to other groups
