Pros

Personal flexibity, great benefits, great brand recognition, and a lot of very smart and talented people working there.

Cons

Internal negotiations are way more difficult than external. Very little room for creativity and company is not adaptive to new ideas.

Pros

The only pros I can actually think of are the people you work with and it’s a good resume builder.

Cons

Everything is a gimmick here. First of all when they hire you, they make it seem like the greatest experience ever. Wrong. They’ll tell you that you can make $50,000 including commission per year which is the biggest lie I heard. 9/10 you will absolutely not make that much because they make it so hard to actually get commission. They have some dumb way they determine commission and I promise you’ll never understand it. I’m pretty sure it’s like that for a reason. The people making $50,000 have amazing patches that have organic growth. They’ll also tell you they do tuition reimbursement but this is bogus. If you actually have an undergrad degree, you’re out of luck because they don’t reimburse tuition for higher degrees unless you get promoted. Which leads me to the next lie, they tell you that the opportunities are endless for promotions. Not true at all. They have a million stipulations about when and how you’ll get promoted. There are people who have been stuck for years because of this. Don’t work here. Trust me. It’s basically a slave shop.

Pros

Literally the only upside of working for UPS is the compensation. You get paid very high in comparison to other jobs in the market and get great benefits, but those are the only PROs.

Cons

You are treated very poorly by management even when you are in management. They have a very old school toxic management culture where they want someone who screams and yells to get things done rather than a sensible tactic. This starts at the very top of the company and just rolls down to every position there. They will work you for as many hours as they can which when you are a full time supervisor literally has no limit. You could work 80 hours during season on salary.
