Pros

I worked at UGP until the end of 2018, when my visa unfortunately ran out. UGP is an incredible company, both for clients and employees. It is a fast paced work environment, with room to grow and get promoted quickly. I couldn't believe how much time and effort management would invest to train and develop employees. I appreciated this enormously. I know that I left UGP with much more confidence and a stronger work ethic than I ever had. They have an incredible team at both locations that are always willing to help and pass on knowledge. UGP is a brilliant community that I recommend becoming a part of.

Cons

High standards; I know if I wasn't passionate about golf and getting better at my job I would have struggled.

Pros

UGP is one of the most exciting golf companies to work for in the whole golf industry. UGP really cares about its employees and offer benefits like health insurance, nutritional & health coaching, golf trips & perks even though they aren't obligated to. If you perform well and plan it accordingly, UGP also offers paid time off. You get to meet and work with amazing people that can add extreme value to your life. UGP also helps you grow personally in a way I have never experienced before in a workplace before. UGP is like a family where we all care about each other beyond business. An example of this strong community is what happened when one of our coaches was diagnosed with brain cancer. A gofundme page was created and over $50K was raised in less than 3 days to help out with his medical bills.

Cons

UGP is growing very fast and the standards are high. It's not a "clock in and clock out" job. You really need to be passionate about golf and your job to be successful.

Pros

Work with golf and the clients are usually great people.

Cons

This is more closely related to working for a cult. Management is under qualified and very threatening to work for. They took advantage of their clientele on multiple occasions and left the staff in very awkward positions. If you ask for time off look forward to making up the hours. If your shift starts on the hour you will be required to show up at least a half an hour prior and don’t expect to be paid for that time. You will be required to attend mandatory meetings and trainings on holidays and your days off. It is hard to explain the overall company culture and vibe of the work environment but it’s easy to say that it was not a good experience at all. They have turned through over 100 employees in a very short period of time. Not a good sign at all.
