Pros

Never the same thing. Great promotion rates if you are a hard worker and truly enjoy what you do.

Cons

Deployments. Some people think it is another government welfare program and don't feel they actually have to work.

Pros

Can be an organization of people committed to achieving a common goal. Driven by professional ethics and rooted in values. When talking about professions such as Medical, Legal, etc. Sometimes, the profession of arms is not realized. You can truly be all that you can be in the Army.

Cons

There is no "quitting" so to speak. You can't just decide to say "I quit" and leave. You mayhave to work for people who do not necessarily meet up to your expectations as a professional. You are always on the move.
