Pros

Right out of school I was given responsibility and expected to perform, even if jobs I wasn't specifically trained for. However, I was also given the authority and tools to make stuff happen. It's great leadership/management experience, especially for an entry-level job.

Cons

We work long hours and deploy. However, the long hours are normally for something good like tank gunnery or pre-deployment training. Since this isn't a "normal" job in that we volunteered to protect the nation and the state, the cons get outweighed by the benefits.

Benefits are great, deepest sense of satisfaction ever.

Cons

Time away from family and friends. You are owned by Uncle Sam. VERY hard on family especially wife. Its not cut out for everyone.
