Cons

The only con is that many employees are retirement age and they carry a lot of knowledge.

Pros

The leave is great asset, especially now under FERS sick leave can be accumulated and used to increase years of service at retirement.

Cons

The same as in every workplace, Favoritism, Cronyism, and Nepotism. Preselecting people for positions. The interview process for positions is is set up to allow selections of certain individuals. Benefits constantly under attack by congress.
