Offered Job and then Ghosted

Pros

Seems like great culture, everyone there was incredibly nice and forward thinking

Cons

There is a lack of maturity. I was offered the job and had sent in all of the paperwork needed and was getting ready to start. A week before my start date I was ghosted by the manager and VP. My calls and emails were not returned and it has now been a month and still nothing. Luckily my company does not allow 2 weeks' notice due to it being a sales role, other wise I would have been unemployed and apart of the COVID19 statistic.

Pros

The people that you work with are very nice and supportive. Having supportive coworkers is the best part of this job.

Cons

This company has gone through huge growth in a very short amount of time and lacks the infrastructure within the lower level departments to support the growth. They've also purchased some very cheap accounting automation programs that aren't designed for the type of work that we do and this has led to a lot of frustrations. Employees with long tenure and upper management employees are leaving in droves. Even new managers see the issues quickly and are leaving the company within 6 months to a year because they realize that they are unable to handle the workloads assigned to them.

Pros

Flexible which is nice, if you need to pick up your kid or take an extra hour in your day for an appointment they are very flexible

Cons

Compensation. You will be extremely underpaid and overworked. I've hired interns that make more than I do. Management will promise help, but never deliver. They just tell you you're doing great during a hard time and it will get better soon, but it never does. For a company that claims they are people first, it really seems that they don't care about the people at all.
